NABEF Down With Brown As Board Chairman

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) has selected one of its board members as its next Chairman of the Board, effective Jan. 1.


Taking the elected position is Bonneville International Corp. President Darrell K. Brown. He assumes the seat presently occupied by Patrick Communications President Larry Patrick, who served as chairman since 2015.

Brown has been in his current position at Bonneville for five years, and celebrates his anniversary at the Salt Lake City-based company on Dec. 13. At Bonneville, Brown  oversees Bonneville’s 22 radio stations in the Denver, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle and Salt Lake City markets. He also oversees operations at KSL-5 in Salt Lake City.

Before joining Bonneville, Brown served as president of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Company. His career with McGraw-Hill spanned 28 years, where he served in various sales and management roles for ABC and Azteca America television stations, including VP/GM roles for KMGH-7 in Denver and, from 1983-2003, at KGTV-10 in San Diego.
