Davidson divests Cincinnati AM station

Great Lakes Radio, which owns an AM station in the Chicago market, is getting its second AM outlet, this time in the Cincinnati market in a deal with Davidson Media. The station is licensed across the Ohio River in Covington KY.


WCVG-AM will go to Timothy F. Gallagher and Michael Fortin, and will be licensed to Great Lakes Radio – Cincinnati LLC. The price for the station will be $472.5K cash. A TBA will kick off prior to closing, with up to $7.5K of the rental fees applying to the purchase price.

Davidson Media Station WCVG Licensee LLC, the official name of the selling entity, is headed by Felix L. Perez and is a subsidiary of SS Broadcasting Holdings LLC.

Great Lakes’ other station is WBGX-AM, serving the Chicago market from Harvey IL.
