“The 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will be back on a Big Four network this year. CBS will air the awards show live from Las Vegas 9-11 pm ET (tape-delayed for the West Coast) on Sunday, June 27th.

This is the first time the awards ceremony will take place in Las Vegas. Will the new location add a little flash to the awards show? It aired last year on The CW to a record low audience.

“The Daytime Emmy Awards are one of the cornerstones of our business and we are thrilled to be back on CBS,” said Herb Granath, Chairman, National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).  “Last year’s show was one of the most entertaining events in our history, and this year’s Las Vegas-based broadcast promises to be even more exciting.”

Associated Television International (ATI) will produce the show with ATI President and Emmy Award winner David McKenzie serving as executive producer.  “After last year’s Daytime Emmy Awards, we are delighted to be working with NATAS again,” said McKenzie.  “Being on the top-rated network gives us the opportunity to reach a wide audience and moving the show to Las Vegas allows us a dazzling range of production choices.”

“Daytime series have a loyal and passionate following. We’re excited to honor these series and their viewers in primetime with this annual showcase,” said Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS Entertainment.

The 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is a presentation of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
