Deal clears the hurdle in Houston

Radio-DisneyAnother milestone in the sell-off of Radio Disney has been reached – the closing of its sale of KMIC-AM Houston TX. Brokers: Bill Schutz of Schutz & Company (seller) and John W. Saunders, Media Broker (buyer)


The buyer is DAIJ Media LLC. It is equally owned by Roberto R. Villareal and Ruben Villareal. Roberto is the managing member.

The price: $3,200,000 cash.

The station is a Class B on 1590 kHz with 5 kW-U, DAN.

This was the first of five deals announced for stations in the Disney group. Other sales have taken place in New York, Detroit, Orlando and Cleveland. Properties in numerous large markets remain on the block.
