Brand new radio owner & operator Debut Broadcasting Corporation recently closed on its first station acquisitions and has also received FCC approval for a second transaction. It's also a proud new member of Radio Business Report's daily Radio Stocks feature.
The first O&Os for the group are WNLA AM & FM, licensed to Indianola MS and serving Greenville-Greenwood MS The combo was acquired from Shamrock Broadcasting Inc. for 300K. Approved and awaiting completion is the acquisition of WNIX-AM/WBAQ-FM Greenville and WIQQ-FM Leland, which is coming from The River Broadcasting Company for 1M. Although radio is not measured in the area, it is a Nielsen DMA on the television side.
The group is now listed with Nasdaq as DBTB.OB, and has been trading at just north of 1.50 per share of late. Jim Wood is Chairman and Steven Ludwig has signed on as CEO. The company has been operating Impact RAdio Networks, with 1.1K affiliates and 40M listeners in North America, for nine years.
