A deal for an old-fashioned AM-FM combo in Opelousas LA, north of Lafayette LA, will add to holdings in the area that include an FM, a low power television and the programming of another FM. The buyer is Delta Media Corporation.

The stations are KSLO-AM and KOGM-FM. They are coming from Carroll Smith’s KSLO Broadcasting Company. According to Ray Rosenblum, who brokered the deal, the price is $700K, with $400K paid in cash followed by three annual payments of $100K each.

Delta is owned by Charles H. Chatelain.

Chatelain already owns KLWB-FM Carencro LA in the area, as well as KXKW-CA Lafayette. According to reports, the low power television station carries the program of another station in the general vicinity, KXKW-FM Simmesport LA along with a visual feed of a local weather map. Both KLWB and KXKW play Classic Hits.

Rosenblum noted that KSLO plays 80s and 90s, and KOGM programs country music.
