Jill Schlesinger, CFP, Editor-at-Large for CBS Moneywatch.com, and appearing regularly on CBS Corp. affiliates and programming, has a new weekend show from Dial-Global: “Jill on Money.” Schlesinger, who gets the radio show almost exactly a year after the CBS Moneywatch appointment, will host the two-hour show produced in partnership with CBS Radio News. She helps listeners take control of their financial lives and better understand how the economy affects real people, engaging with her audience through call-ins, e-mails, Tweets and live chat.
The program launches with KFWB-AM Los Angeles, WTIC-AM Hartford, WPRO-AM Providence, KPAM-AM Portland and others. Schlesinger is regularly heard on KMOX-AM St. Louis, WCBS-AM New York, WCCO-AM Minneapolis, KIRO-AM Seattle, WTOP-FM Washington DC, KOA-AM Denver, and more.
Says CBS News VP/Radio, Harvey Nagler: “Jill is a consummate radio professional with a proven track record. She seamlessly crosses from personal finance concerns to complex economic issues, giving listeners valuable information they can use regardless of their level of sophistication. I love her upbeat, humorous and understandable style.”
“Jill is one of the few people from the financial world who can communicate complicated and murky financial information in a relatable way to listeners of all ages, who have varying amounts of money and experience,” said Amy Bolton, SVP/Talk & News at Dial Global.
In addition to airing regularly on CBS Radio News and CBS Radio affiliates, Jill is also seen quite often on “The Evening News with Katie Couric,” “The CBS Early Show,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” as well as on CBS O&O TV affiliates.
Prior to joining CBS, she owned and ran an investment management firm (StrategicPoint) for 14 years, where she also hosted a call-in radio show on WHJJ-AM Providence.
