Did Saga Successfully Get An LPFM License Revoked?

0

Nearly nine years after the FCC granted its approval for the construction of an LPFM serving the biggest city in western Massachusetts, Saga Communications filed a petition to revoke its license for this 100-watt operation.

Why? Saga alleges that this micro-station interferes with the signal of one of its full-power stations, is not operating from the location or with the antenna specified in its license, and has violated the law and rules governing underwriting announcements.

Media Bureau Chief Michelle Carey has given her say on the matter, with a Memorandum Opinion and Order distributed Thursday (8/24).
