DISH asks for Christmas indulgence

FNC host Bill O’Reilly labeled satellite MVPD DISH Network a “patriot” for using the phrase “Merry Christmas” in an ad, and DISH says it has since been deluged with messages of both support and criticism.

It has asked that citizens at least recognize the good and peaceful spirit of the message.

“DISH Network acknowledges and respects the diversity of faith in our country, but at the same time recognizes the overwhelming majority that celebrate Christmas,” said DISH in a statement. “We cannot imagine that Americans of all faiths would not want to embrace the spirit of the holiday and join us in wishing Christian Americans a very Merry Christmas.”

RBR-TVBR observation: For our part, we will celebrate DISH Networks’ access to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment and deluge it with nothing.
