Disney Channel Delivers TV’s Top 2 Telecasts in Kids 6-11 and the Top 3 Scripted TV Telecasts in Tweens 9-14

Powered by Sunday’s premiere of original movie “StarStruck,” the week’s No. 1 telecast in target kid demos, Disney Channel was the week’s No. 1 TV network in Total Day in Tweens 9-14 (521,000/2.1 rating). In Prime Disney Channel extended its streak as cable’s No. 1 network to 254 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (1.05 million/4.3 rating) and to 250 straight weeks in Tweens 9-14 (880,000/3.6 rating), nearing 5 years of dominance on a weekly basis.

Sunday’s debut of original movie “StarStruck” stood as the week’s No. 1 TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million/9.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million/9.4 rating), and cable’s No. 1 scripted telecast in Total Viewers (6.0 million).

In head-to-head action on Friday night at 8:30 p.m., an all-new “The Suite Life on Deck” defeated an all-new “Big Time Rush” on Nickelodeon by 13% in Kids 6-11 (1.7 million vs. 1.5 million) and by 17% in Tweens 9-14 (1.4 million vs. 1.2 million).

In Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel held TV’s Top 3 scripted telecasts with Sunday’s “StarStruck” (2.3 million/9.4 rating) and Friday’s “The Suite Life on Deck” (1.4 million/5.9 rating, 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.) and “Phineas and Ferb” (1.4 million/5.8 rating, 9:00 – 9:30 p.m.).

In Kids 6-11, Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 2 telecasts with “StarStruck” (2.4 million/9.8 rating) and “The Suite Life on Deck” (1.7 million/7.1 rating), with an original “Phineas and Ferb” (1.5 million/6.2 rating, Fri., 9:00 – 9:30 p.m.) rounding out the Top 5.

Playhouse Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked among TV’s No. 10 programs with target preschoolers Kids 2-5 (No. 7 – 710,000/4.3 rating).
