The radio and television networks of The Walt Disney Company are making next week’s inaugural a family affair. Disney Channel will broadcast "Kids’ Inaugural: We Are the Future," a concert honoring military families, hosted by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families, on Monday, January 19th. Radio Disney will provide and audio simulcast and Disney.com will stream the event immediately after the broadcast. ABC Television will broadcast "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration" Live from Washington, DC on Tuesday, January 20th.

In an effort to make this inaugural celebration open and accessible to all Americans, President-elect Barack Obama will host the first-ever "Neighborhood Inaugural Ball," the premier event of inauguration evening, on January 20. ABC will broadcast "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration," giving home viewers an exclusive look inside this historic event that will include the President and First Lady’s first dance of the night, President-elect Obama’s initial speech of the evening, and performances and appearances by some of the nation’s top recording artists and stars. The event will air live from the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, Tuesday, January 20 (8:00-10:00 pm ET).
On Monday, January 19 (8:00-9:30 pm ET), Disney Channel will present "Kids’ Inaugural: We Are the Future," a concert celebration from the Verizon Center in Washington, DC honoring military families. This inaugural concert celebration will be attended by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families. The event will be simulcast on Radio Disney, and will be streamed on Disney.com immediately following the culmination of the telecast on Disney Channel.
