WRJM-TV, which brings MNT fare to the Montgomery-Selma AL market from its perch in Troy AL, is in receivership and looking for a buyer. According to documents filed with the FCC, one of the owners is running and trying to sell the station. The distressed licensee is Josie Park Broadcasting Corporation, and Walter P. Lunsford has been named receiver by the Circuit Court of Coffee County, Alabama, Enterprise Division. Josie Park is said to be in arrears on a loan from Citizens Bank to the tune of $2.98M principal plus interest. Lunsford is authorized to manage station operations, handle FCC matters and try to find a buyer. A buyer would face the immediate challenge of getting the station’s digital component up and running – a task reportedly rendered impossible by the station’s financial condition.
