DIY Network, the destination for home improvement, announced its lineup of 17 new series slated to premiere this year.  The new slate features programs to empower viewers with the knowledge and confidence to make smart financial and strategic decisions when renovating their home.

Series premieres include: This New House, a joint venture with another popular franchise, This Old House Ventures, airing Thursday nights; and Money Hunters, anchoring Wednesday nights’ financially-focused programming block, along with the network’s popular programs, Sweat Equity and 10 Grand In Your Hand. Illustrating renovation isn’t just for men; DIY Network introduces three new women to its roster of home improvement experts: carpenter Kayleen McCabe, carpenter Joannie Dodds, and Deanne Bell, a carpenter and mechanical engineer.

Three of DIY Network’s new entries are hosted by women: Rescue Renovation, premiering in June, where McCabe, last year’s Stud Finder talent search contest winner, saves project-challenged homeowners who are in over their heads with their renovations. Money Hunters, feature Bell and co-host/licensed contractor and realtor Matt Blashaw (Deconstruction), working alongside homeowners to deliver the best renovation their budget can buy debuting on 5/1 and 5/5 at 8 p.m. ET; and Run My Renovation, hosted by Dodds and licensed contractor John DeSilvia (10 Grand in Your Hand), premiering 8/19 at 10:30 p.m. ET.  In this unique interactive series homeowners turn their renovations over to DIYnetwork.com users to make ALL the design decisions through online voting, leaving homeowners wondering just what they’ll get.

Amy Matthews, DIY Network’s veteran renovation expert, adds a new show to her hosting duties, This New House, premiering 7/9 at 8 p.m. ET.  During this hour-long magazine style show, Matthews, a licensed contractor, joins This Old House host Kevin O’Connor to bring viewers innovative building materials, top-notch techniques and inspiring gadgets.

The Crashers franchise, where homeowners are ambushed at a home improvement store and given a renovation they NEVER saw coming, expands to include Bath Crashers, hosted by licensed contractor Matt Muenster.  The newest installment joins Yard Crashers, hosted by licensed landscape contractor Ahmed Hassan (Turf War), and House Crashers, hosted by licensed contractor Josh Temple, and premieres during DIY Network’s first-ever Crash Week (Monday, July 5 – Friday, July 8, 8-11 p.m. ET) with back-to-back episodes in primetime.
