Legacy Communications is going from four to six stations in the Scottsbluff NE area, but it’ll have to build the two newbies itself. According to Media Services Group broker Jody McCoy, Joseph Jay Vavricek’s group has closed on its acquisition of two FM CPs from Christopher F. Devine’s College Creek Broadcasting. According to documents filed with the FCC, the price was 200K cash. The stations are KETT-FM CP, a Class C2 on 99.3 MHz with 50 kw @ 474 licensed to Mitchell NE; and KHYY-FM CP, a Class C2 on 106.9 MHz with 50 kw @ 474 licensed to Minatare NE. Legacy’s up-and-running stations include KOLT-AM Scottsbluff, KMOR-FM Bridgeport, KOAQ-AM Terrytown & KOZY-FM Gehring.
