Don ChetoFollowing on the heels of replacing ‘Piolin’ in Portland on Salem’s 93.1 KRYP El Rey, Liberman Broadcasting’s syndicated hit morning show El Show De Don Cheto has landed the biggest free agent on the market by securing a deal with Adelante Media Group.  Adelante had been the second largest affiliate base for Piolin behind only Univision.  The new affiliates are Boise KDBI-FM 101.9, Milwaukee WDDW-FM 104.7, Sacramento KGRB-FM 94.FM/Modesto KBBU-FM 102.3FM/KBAA FM Grass Valley CA, Seattle KDDS FM 99.3, Tri-Cities KZBT-FM 97.9, Wenatchee/Moses Lake KZML-FM 95.9 and Yakima Washington KZTA-FM 96.9.

‘When the Piolin cancellation came down, we were immediately inundated with calls from all the leading Hispanic morning radio shows.  Our research led us to one obvious conclusion and that was El Show De Don Cheto was the premiere show available.  We are extremely excited to add this outstanding show to these stations and look forward to a great relationship with great results,” said Adelante CEO Jay Meyers.

“Our company motto is use your best judgment and win – and the interesting thing in what would appear to be a corporate decision is really driven by the fact that each and every one of our market managers wanted Don Cheto.  This is truly an exciting day for the future of our company,” added Adelante COO Ed Krampf.

“El Show de Don Cheto used to be one of the two premiere shows available for leading Spanish radio stations, and now that one has defected to satellite radio, it sits alone on the mountain top.  Don Cheto is the perfect kick off for Adelante’s LA GRAND D regional Mexican format carried on these radio stations,” said Adelante’s Director of Programming and New Media Juan Gonzalez.

“We’re proud to see Don Cheto successfully deepen his roots in California and flourish across the U.S., we believe the agreement with  Adelante reflects a responsiveness to the needs of the Hispanic community,” said Winter Horton Chief Executive Officer of Estrella TV and LBI Media.
