London Broadcasting Company Inc., headed by Terry London, now has the keys to CW KCEB-TV in the Tyler-Longview market, according to TylerPaper.com. The seller is Charles Chatelain’s Estes Broadcasting.
London, which already has CBS KYTX in the market, needed a failing station waiver from the FCC to complete the deal. London paid $948K for the station and has been expecting to pay another $470K to bring the station up to full operating condition.
According to TylerPage London said, “We are pleased to add the full power CW network to our platform of channels in the East Texas television market. With this increased reach and breadth of our programming offerings, we are better able to serve our viewers and advertising partners.”
KCEB, which is licensed to Longview TX, had been operating at reduced power with FCC permission.
