MacDonald To Drive Sales Growth For 605

An advanced media veteran who brings over 20 years of experience and executive sales leadership and expertise in data analytics, SaaS business development and audience-based data solutions in media and advertising technology has been named EVP/Sales for media and entertainment-focused advanced data and analytics firm 605.


Appointed to the role is Doug MacDonald, who will be responsible for overseeing the development of the overall sales strategy and plan for the company. He will lead all aspects of sales and account management functions in support of the company’s growth objectives, and collaborate across all of 605’s departments to further develop its suite of products and services.

MacDonald will lead direct sales of 605’s advanced advertising and measurement solutions to national advertisers and agencies in addition to business development activities with industry partners and alliances.

MacDonald most recently served as SVP/Digital Solutions at V12 Data, an omnichannel data provider. Before that, he served as Vice President of Business Development at media analytics company Deep Root Analytics. Over the course of his career, MacDonald also held leadership roles at mobile platform company Celtra Inc., and Adap.tv, an early pioneer of programmatic video.

He reports directly to 605 President and co-founder Ben Tatta.

The name of the independent audience measurement and analytics company created by Dolan Family Ventures is a code for “DCV,” which stands for Data Co. Ventures — the original project name of Dolan Family Ventures. While there are company roots an area of Southern California including Pasadena, Monrovia, Duarte and Azusa, 605’s name is not inspired by the San Gabriel Freeway, connecting these towns to Long Beach, Calif.
