Stocks ended mostly lower on Tuesday, but the Dow climbed to a record close, buoyed by gains for United Technologies. The S&P 500 fell 3.14 points to 1,692.39 and the Nasdaq dropped 21.11 points to 3,579.27. Bucking the negative trend, the Dow rose 22.19 points, or 0.1%, to 15,567.74, marking its 28th record close this year.
The RBR Radio Index was down .901, or .1%, to 690.398.
The TVBR Television Index was down 9.669, or 1.3%, to 723.101.
