There will be a very special guest on the episode of basic cable dramatic series “Army Wives” on Sunday 8/8/10 at 10PM ET/PT. Dr. Jill Biden, whose husband Joe is famously one heartbeat away from the presidency, will guest star on the episode. It is the ultimate in typecasting, since she will be playing herself.
Dr. Biden’s goal in appearing in the piece, entitled “Mud, Sweat, and Tears,” is to “…raise awareness about the sacrifices made by members of the military and their families.”
Lifetime offered a plot synopsis: “Dr. Biden visits Fort Marshall to kick off the post’s annual ‘Fun Run,’ a road race and obstacle course for the local community and post families, in support of a summer camp for children of military families. While on post, Dr. Biden also visits with military spouses to discuss some of the challenges their families face on a daily basis while their loved ones are deployed. Many real Army wives will be featured in the episode.”
The episode will also feature a PSA filmed by Dr. Biden addressing the topic.
