As Dr. Mehmet Oz prepares to launch “The Dr. Oz show” in syndication, he’s named some of the people who will be key guest contributors for the first season. They’re being called “Core Team Oz.”

Tim Gunn, fashion and style expert from “Project Runway,” fitness specialist and “The Biggest Loser” trainer Bob Harper and former NFL player Eddie George and his wife Taj of “Survivor,” will appear in multiple segments throughout the first season of “The Dr. Oz Show.” Each contributor will provide inspiration, encouragement and advice in each of their areas of expertise.

“Each one of these contributors brings a unique perspective on achieving optimal health. They have proven track records in inspiring others not only to realize their potential and self worth, but also to improve their lives. Body image, sports discipline and fitness are all incorporated into the show to help viewers fulfill their personal best,” said Dr. Oz.

“The Dr. Oz Show” is an hour-long, daily syndicated series that premieres on September 14. It is co-produced by Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and distributed by SPT.

“The Dr. Oz Show” is executive produced by Mindy Borman; Amy Chiaro is co-executive producer, and has been cleared in 100 of the top 100 markets in over 99% of the country. The show is filmed in front of a studio audience in Studio 6A in New York’s legendary Rockefeller Center.
