The National Association of Broadcasters announced that Kent Dunn, VP/GM of Beasley Broadcast Group’s Augusta, Georgia cluster, is the winner of the “What’s Working for You” initiative, a project that NAB said was designed to “highlight success stories of radio and television stations during these challenging times.”
In recognition of the winning entry, titled “Absolutely Augusta,” Dunn will receive hotel accommodations and full conference registration for two to the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
According to Beasley Broadcast Group, Dunn and Beasley Broadcasting’s Sales Manager Mark Haddon worked together to share positive stories about the opportunities available to the Augusta community through the creation and distribution of public service announcements. These PSAs featured local politicians and were shared with the Augusta community. The promotion encouraged citizens to support their community by keeping dollars local and was sold to like-minded businesses.
Some examples of “What’s Working for You” entries are posted on the NAB website.
