Yes, Clint Eastwood has actually been snared for a reality TV show. Well, sort of. It actually stars his wife and their two teenage daughters, but he’s expected to make occasional appearances.
“Mrs. Eastwood and Company” will debut May 20th on E! The series will chronicle the life of Dina Eastwood, the former TV anchor who has been Mrs. Clint Eastwood since 1996, her 15-year-old daughter Morgan Eastwood and Morgan’s half-sister, 18-year-old Francesca Fisher-Eastwood, who was born to Clint and actress Frances Fisher.
Clint Eastwood has five older children and two grandchildren, who apparently have no likelihood of appearing on the reality show.
But Mrs. Eastwood & Company will feature six non-relatives, the all-male six vocal group “Overtone” from South Africa which is managed by Dina.
According to the pitch from E!, Mrs. Eastwood & Company “is an unprecedented look at the surprisingly normal extended and blended family behind one of Hollywood’s most iconic superstars.” Developed by Executive Producer Jeff Jenkins for Bunim-Murray Productions, the 10-episode series follows Dina, Francesca, Morgan, the six members of Overtone, and those intimately involved in their world, wherever their lives may take them, from their hometown of Carmel, CA to Los Angeles and beyond.
“Nothing is more important to me than family – no matter how you define that,” said Dina Eastwood. “People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach, and I also believe that it’s hard not to fall in love with my band, Overtone'”
“I’m really proud of my family. They are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment,” said Clint Eastwood.
Dina Eastwood and Bunim/Murray Productions’ Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins and Russell Jay serve as Executive Producers.
