Economy continues to dominate coverage

The election sat atop the Project for Excellence in Journalism media news coverage charts throughout 2008, and now the economy is monopolizing the top slot for 2009, and the week of 2/16/09-2/22/09 was certainly no exception.

The related woes of the auto industry piled on the gloom from its second place position, but failed to get into double digits.

The travels of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama received attention, and for what it’s worth, it’s not every week you see something like "chimp attack" on these charts.
