Ed Kramer, former owner of WPDR-AM & WDDC-FM Portage, WI, died last week of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) at age 71. His funeral took place Saturday. Kramer began his radio career at WDUX-AM Waupaca, WI and eventually was elected Mayor of the town. He then bought WPDR in 1974 and had a long career there.
