The appetite for radio station acquisitions exhibited by the company that runs noncommercial Christian networks K-LOVE and Air-1 seems inexhaustible – it has filed to pick up another station in the Pacific Northwest.
The station is KBNO-FM. It’s licensed to White Salmon WA, a community in unrated territory to the east of Portland OR.
The station is not a threat to get a signal into the city – it’s a Class A on 89.3 MHz with only 16 Watts. Although it projects a bigger signal than you’d think thanks to its antenna placement 1,102’ above average terrain, it is still very much a local station.
The seller is Gospel Echo, headed by Frank Furnish.
The price will be $30K, paid entirely in cash.
