KCIJ-FM splits the difference between a pair of Louisiana markets, and Educational Media Foundation has a cash/swap deal to buy it.
The station will be yet another in the commercial band that will be going non-profit under its new owner.
The seller is North Face Broadcasting LLC, headed by James G. Bethard
EMF is headed by Mike Novak.
The religious noncom will pay $142,000 for the station, and it will also offer in trade FM translator K222AO Natchitoches LA.
KCIJ-FM is licensed to Atlanta LA. It’s a Class C3 on 106.5 MHz with 25 kW @ 328’. It’s roughly halfway between Alexandria LA, located to the southeast, and Shreveport, located to the northwest.
K222AO is on 92.3 MHz, with 140W @ 398’.
