A pair of contracts have surfaced at the FCC identifying religious noncom Educational Media Foundation as a buyer of FM in two western states.

In the more expensive deal, Mike-Novak-led EMF will buy KRJY-FM Truth or Consequences NM from Your Christian Companion Network Inc., headed by Shirley Garner.

The price of the station will be $35K.

KRJY is a Class C2 on 91.1 MHz. It uses only 70 Watts on its horizontal broadcast plane, but its vertical power is 1,006 Watts from the lofty vantage point of 2,647’ HAAT.

It is not in any rated market, serving a portion of the station north of Las Cruces.

The other station is still only a CP, and is coming for the less-than-princely sum of one dollar.

The station is KKCS-FM Calhan CO, and it’s being sold by Calhan Radio LLC, headed by Donald R. Jackson.

The station is to be a Class A on 104.7 MHz with 1.55 kW @ 650’. Its contour covers the area just to the east of Colorado Springs.
