Midland MD is out on the western extremity of Maryland, on the state’s panhandle just west of Cumberland. That’s where Educational Media Foundation will be getting a DIY project, the CP for WYUR-FM. The seller is non-profit Muncy Hill Broadcasting Inc., headed by Van Michael. The stick will carry a modest $5K price tag, but the contract also calls for a 10 year lease on the tower/transmitter real estate, payable to Muncy Hill at the rate of $800/month. The CP is for a Class A on 88.3 MHz with 180 w @ 1,352’.
