Emmis Sets A Date For Fiscal Q3 Earnings Call

Happy New Year! It’s earnings season, again.

On Thursday, Jan. 5, at 9 a.m. Eastern, Emmis Communications will host a conference call to discuss its fiscal third quarter results.

Jeff-SmulyanEmmis Chairman/CEO Jeff Smulyan and EVP/CFO/Treasurer Ryan Hornaday will host the call.

After opening comments, Smulyan and Hornaday will respond to questions submitted via email to [email protected].

Emmis stock is poised to close out the year in the $3.20-$3.25 range. While this is down from Emmis’ mid-August through mid-October activity, which saw EMMS shares rise above $4, Emmis is finishing the 2017 calendar year some 70 cents per share higher than Jan. 5, 2016.

Furthermore, Emmis stock fell as low as $1.72, on Feb. 8, before recovering for what has become a solid year for investors in a company that continues to pare down assets while a plan by Smulyan to take Emmis private lapsed on Oct. 14.

That plan would have seen the purchase of all outstanding EMMS shares at $4.10, pending shareholder approval following the acceptance of the plan by a special committee comprised of Peter Lund and Susan Bayh.

Emmis shares have not reached that level since Sept. 15.
