The SVP/Market Manager of Emmis Communications‘ Gotham cluster has succeeded Ramon Pineda as Treasurer of the New York Market Radio Association (NYMRAD).

Charlie Morgan, a 38-year broadcast veteran who spent the first 28 years of his career with the former Susquehanna Radio, takes the role following the promotion of Pineda to SVP/Regional GM of Univision. In this new role, Pineda is overseeing stations in Atlanta, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Puerto Rico.

Morgan has overseen Emmis/New York since 2009.

CBS Radio/New York’s Marc Rayfield remains as Chairman as iHeartMedia/New York’s Scott Hopeck moves up to Secretary from Treasurer.

“I am very excited about working with Charlie in this seamless transition of the Executive Committee,” said NYMRAD Chairman Marc Rayfield. “Charlie has brought energy in his contributions to Board meetings and under his leadership we will continue to develop initiatives that will advance Radio in the vibrant New York marketplace.”

Morgan added, “Working with Deborah Beagan and my talented New York Radio peers in this period of time where Radio has more to offer advertisers than ever before is invigorating. It’s a privilege to play a role in advancing Radio’s profile and value proposition.”
