The final season of ABC’s “Lost” received 12 nominations as the Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were revealed Thursday. Also, Conan O’Brien was nominated for his seven-month stint as host of NBC’s “Tonight Show,” while both Jay Leno and David Letterman were snubbed.


Newcomers “Glee” (Fox) and “Modern Family” ABC were nominated as Outstanding Comedy Series, along with veterans “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (HBO), “Nurse Jackie” (Showtime), “The Office” (NBC) and “30 Rock” (NBC).

In the other most-closely-watched category, Outstanding Drama Series, the nominees are “Breaking Bad” (AMC), “Dexter” (Showtime), “The Good Wife” (CBS), “Lost” (ABC), “Mad Men” (AMC), and “True Blood” HBO.

The miniseries “The Pacific” (HBO) led with 24 Emmy nominations, followed by “Glee” with 19 and “Mad Men” 17.

By network, HBO was way out in front with 101 nominations. ABC had 63, CBS 57, NBC 48 and Fox 47.
