“Dateline NBC” and the premiere of “The Cape” didn’t come close to duplicating the audience numbers of “Sunday Night Football,” so NBC fell to 4th place in the Sunday night Nielsen ratings. Fox, powered by an NFL playoff game that ran over into primetime, was far and away the winner.
