With the first night of Chanukah on Dec. 10 and Christmas Eve just two weeks later, the holiday shopping season is rapidly ramping up. The conversion of Adult Contemporary radio stations to all-Christmas programming also helps, with big stations across North America including CHFI-FM in Toronto already making the shift.


But, as COVID-19 pandemic concerns haven’t abated much since mid-March, will the holiday shopping season be a largely digital affair? No, a new study finds.
