Entravision Communications announced it is converting several of its stations to its “José” format, a mix of Spanish-language AC hits from the 1970s to the present.  Targeting Hispanic adults 25-54, featured music on José includes Luis Miguel, Los Angeles Azules, Marco Antonio Solis, Los Bukis, Alejandro Fernandez, and Jenni Rivera.

José was created and introduced by Entravision in 2005 and has consistently gained audience share since its debut. The format was most recently introduced to Entravision radio stations in the Los Angeles (KLYY 97.5 FM), Phoenix (KVVA 107.1 FM / KDVA 106.9 FM) and El Paso (KINT 93.9 FM / KSVE 1150 AM) markets. Since its introduction in LA, Entravision has seen an increase in listeners based on adults 25 to 54 from a 1.1 average quarter hour share in June 2008 in diary to a 2.5 in November 2008 in PPM.  In El Paso, José is the number one station regardless of language in the most recent trend in adults 25 to 54.  In this same key demographic, Entravision has seen a 266 percent increase in Phoenix, comparing the summer Arbitron book to the current trend.

In total, there are now 18 Entravision radio stations airing José, including the following stations that are currently changing from Entravision’s “Super Estrella” format:
