Entravision is expanding its Contemporary Regional Mexican “El Gato” format into a third market, since it was debuted in 2009. This time it’s on KRRN 92.7 FM Las Vegas, adding to KDLD/KDLE 103.1 FM Los Angeles and KYSE 94.7 FM El Paso. The station, switching from “Maria92.7” Spanish AC, now features a mix of grupera, cumbia and banda music from hit artists like La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, K-Paz de la Sierra and Intocable.
El Gato will also be home to fútbol matches such as the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Mexican National Team matches, and the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Brazil in 2014.
In addition to “El Gato,” Entravision also O&O’s Univision affiliate KINC-TV Channel 15, TeleFutura affiliate KELV-LP Channel 27 and La Tricolor 105.1 FM in Las Vegas.
