Entravision Communications/Denver is inviting listeners to the annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration to commemorate Mexican independence. The Official Public Ceremony, presented by Denver’s Consul General of Mexico, will include the traditional Grito de Dolores ceremony, a.k.a the “Battle Cry of Independence.” The event will also feature international and local music acts including Alegres de La Sierra, Patrulla 81, Horoscopos de Durango, and Calibre 50.
It’s being held at the Denver Civic Center Park Sunday, 9/18 at 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. The event commemorates the significance of Mexican independence from Spain. Last year’s event attracted more than 90,000 people, making it the largest one-day festival in the state of Colorado.
