Live365 revives Philly's Y-100
When Philadelphia's legendary modern rock radio station Y100 flipped formats to hip-hop programming last month, the sixth largest radio market in the United States no longer had a pure rock station. Five hundred thousand alternative rock fans and Y100's on-air staff were left in the cold. Tragedy was mitigated, however, when Live365 stepped in and Y100rocks.com was born.
Y100's staff turned to Live365 to power their online radio station. Live365 helped set up Y100rocks.com virtually overnight, providing a new lease on life for a jewel of Philadelphia's radio dial.
In three weeks, Y100rocks.com has received over 1 million page views and over 500,000 unique visits.
Chic Sports Radio announces debut lineup
Chic Sports Radio, the only show on the airwaves devoted entirely to women's sports, will debut on 4/8 at 9:00pm ET on Sports Byline. Chic will be broadcast on Sports Byline USA Radio Network and on SIRIUS channel 122.
The guests scheduled to appear on the program include former NFL standout and Cincinnati Bengal running back, Ickey Woods; Shari (The Shark) Stauch (spokesperson for the Women's Pro Billiard Tour), and an LPGA update with Joel Lamp, the media relations coordinator for the LPGA. There will also be a regular weekly report on the National Women's Football Association which will feature NWFA correspondents Ahndi Coffey and Stephanie Godsey.
