The last three weeks, with trading values hovering between 30M-40M, seemed slow. But that was before this week, which makes the last three weeks seem like a trio of bona fide barn-burners. Even the lone TV deal didn't crack the million dollar threshold, and the only radio deal to do so actually move a station out of the commercial realm into the Georgia non-profit broadcasting system. Total value of 8M was out of reach. Snore.

TV Deal of the Week
Same operator, new landlord
Management at CBS WMDN-TV in Meridian MS will continue to operate cross-town MBC WGBC-TV under terms of an LMA dating all the way back to 8/1/95. However, for 750K, Robert M. Ledbetter Jr. has purchase the license and landlord status from Phyllis Shields Nuckolls.
Radio Deal of the Week
As station goes, so go its commercials
WKCX-FM Rome GA is heading to the noncommercial world. It's being picked up by The Foundation for Public Broadcasting in Georgia Inc., which works in conjunction with the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission. At 4.2M. it's the biggest transaction of the week.
