John Stossel and Cynthia McFadden to host Labor Day specials on ABC News Radio

ABC News Radio will offer two one-hour specials over Labor Day weekend (Thursday, 9/2 through Monday, 9/6): "Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity with ABC's John Stossel" and "Back to School - The ABC News/Court TV Safety Challenge 2004."

"Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity with ABC's John Stossel" is an attempt to find the truth behind some very common beliefs. ABC News correspondent John Stossel investigated a number of these commonly held beliefs, including . . . Can buying expensive wrinkle cream save your skin? . . . Do strange things happen when the moon is full? . . . Are SUVs safer than cars? The one-hour special "Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity with ABC's John Stossel" will answer those questions and more.

"Back to School - The ABC News/Court TV Safety Challenge 2004," hosted by ABC News Senior Legal Correspondent Cynthia McFadden, looks at the back-to-school season and how to make it safe.

CMA names nominees for 2004 CMA Awards

The final list of nominees for "The 38th Annual CMA Awards" is an across-the-board collection of hard-core traditionalists, Country Music hitmakers, sentimental favorites and mainstream innovators with a healthy dose of up-and-comers added to the mix.

"The 38th Annual CMA Awards" will be broadcast live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tuesday, 11/9 (8:00-11:00 PM; live ET/delayed PT) on CBS.
