Ford to offer Sirius OEM equipment this month
Ford and Lincoln Mercury will begin offering Sirius as a factory-installed option this month on select vehicle lines. Beginning with the 2006 model year, Sirius will be offered factory-installed on Ford F150 (August); Lincoln Mark LT (September); Ford Explorer (December) and Mercury Mountaineer (December). Ford and Lincoln Mercury plan to offer the factory-installed system for an MSRP of 195 bucks, which will include a six-month subscription.
Sirius also just announced hardware is available as both a dealer and post-production option for the 2005 Toyota Avalon and the 2006 Lexus GS 300/430.
ABC News Radio adds Citadel stations
ABC News Radio has added seven Citadel stations to its roster of more than 2,500 news/talk affiliates. The stations are: KBOI-AM Boise, KCUB-AM Tucson, KWQW-FM Des Moines, WAPI-AM Birmingham, AL, WISW-AM Columbia, SC, WKY-AM Oklahoma City and WTMA-AM Charleston, SC.
Ron & Fez to XM in September
Former WJFK-FM DC talkers Ron and Fez will join XM 9/12 with the 11 AM to 2 PM (ET) slot on the High Voltage channel (202), following Opie and Anthony. Encore presentations will air from 7-10 p.m. ET and 2-5 a.m. ET. The duo, Ron Bennington and Fez Whatley, have built a dedicated following since their start in Florida during the mid-1990's, including successful runs in New York and DC.
