Hurricane, shooting dampen MTV Video Music Awards
Hurricane Katrina pelted Miami Beach on Friday, soaking guests trying to attend parties ahead of Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards and keeping others from even reaching Miami. But Suge Knight may wish he hadn't made it to town. He was shot in the leg in the wee hours of Sunday morning at a party hosted by hip hop star Kanye West. Police said Knight was hospitalized in good condition and there was no immediate word on who shot the record mogul. Meanwhile, the hurricane was far away from Miami and bearing down on New Orleans as the awards show was set for airing last night.
