The number of stations picked up this week over last, but when you're dealing mostly in AM stations and smaller markets, and when the only TV deal is for a CP which hasn't even gotten around to getting call letters, you can expect a smaller bottom line. No single deal even made it to the 9M level. Still, not bad considering almost everyone took time off for Thanksgiving.

TV Deal of the Week
Competitors split a payday
A TV CP Flint-Saginaw-Bay City is going to be sold by a pair of competing applicants to ACME Television - - one will get out of the way, allowing the other to get FCC blessings, then each will get a check from ACME for $1.5M, for a $3M total.

Radio Deal of the Week
New rules force AM resale
Curtis Media was going to buy WRBZ-AM in the Raleigh-Durham market, but the new Arbitron-based market definitions scotched the deal. NC Sportsnet is getting it now for the same $8.7M, the biggest filing of the week.
