Station teams with racetrack for sponsorship/marketing

Two experienced forces in weekly short-track NASCAR stock car racing are teaming up to further strengthen the sponsorship and marketing at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA. King Hodges, VP of the .396-mile Dodge Weekly Racing Series track there, announced a working agreement with Chuck Hall and his staff at WLRT-AM The Outlaw/ RaceTalkLive.com. Their association is effective immediately, so Hall is eager to begin working with Hodges and his staff to bringing even more attention and sponsorship activities to Langley.

Said Hall: "We plan to use WLRT-1490 and www.racetalklive.com to get the word out about Langley. We'll broadcast from there on Saturday afternoons and have a Monday night show for Langley drivers and fans. The speedway is in a prime location -- one of the best locations of any weekly track in America -- and we need to educate all of Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina about what we have.''

Available securely via the Internet, the National Weather Networks' service provides a minimum of three 30-second weather forecasts daily. The frequency of updates increases during severe weather conditions for a period of 24 hours or until the weather stabilizes.

National Weather Networks' broadcasts are produced to accommodate a five-second local billboard sponsorship. Weather forecasts and bulletins can be modified to meet the specific needs of each radio station and its coverage area. The station also has the ability to request changes to specific areas of the forecast's focus by communicating directly with the meteorologist.
