Sir Howard moves up

If you knew him from his CBS days, Howard Stringer has certainly moved on to bigger and better things. In a move that shocked boardrooms around the globe, Sony has named Springer as its Chairman. Stringer, who is a UK citizen (and yes, he has been knighted), will be the first foreigner to head a major Japanese electronics company. He had previously headed Sony's US Entertainment operations.

NAB adds training weekend

For the first time, a "training weekend" will be featured Saturday and Sunday April 16-17 at NAB2005 in Las Vegas. The first day will feature Noll & Associates consultants Kennen Williams and Tim Daniels on "Leading Into the Future" and day two will have "Grand Slam Strategy: Determining Your Winning Game Plan," by Northwestern University Professor John Lavine.

Mitsubishi enters OEM deal with Sirius

Mitsubishi Motors announced an exclusive agreement with Sirius Satellite Radio to offer satellite radio as a factory-installed option in various Mitsubishi models. The first Sirius factory-installed option will appear in the 2006 Mitsubishi Raider. The midsize truck, which was recently unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, will be available in dealer showrooms in the fall of 2005.
