Morrison and Abraham to host annual Smart Money Summit
Interep subsidiary Morrison and Abraham will host Smart Money Summit (SMS) on April 28 & 29, 2005 at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston. SMS is a two-day seminar offered by Morrison and Abraham to Sales Professionals and Sales Management at media companies to enhance sales efforts. The seminar provides an interactive opportunity for media clients to learn from industry experts in target categories and from each other through presentations, panel sessions and Q&A. Sirius selects WSI Corp for marine weather data
Sirius Satellite Radio announced that WSI Corp., a leading provider of premium weather services and precision forecasts, will provide SIRIUS with a full suite of marine weather content for a new service, which is expected to begin late this year. Sirius plans to create a special marine weather service that will include a variety of graphical and text information, including water surface temperatures, lightning strikes, coast-to-coast U.S. and Canadian weather radar, storm tracking, winds and wave heights.
This new service will be the first premium data service, and pricing will be announced later this year.
Bill Holter dead at 81
Veteran broadcaster Bill Holter, who owned radio stations across Montana, has died from complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was 81. Holter, a Minnesota native, had been a reporter for the CBS News bureau in Paris before returning to the states to continue his broadcast career and enter station ownership. He was inducted into the Montana Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002.
