BE to host HD Radio reception

Broadcast Electronics will present four technical papers and host the NAB HD Radio Reception during NAB 2007. BE will sponsor the NAB HD Radio Reception, held in the Radio Hall on Monday, April 16, from 4:30 to 6pm, as a way for broadcasters to unwind after day-one of the exhibition and network with others interested in HD Radio business and technology developments.

Throughout the week, BE will present engineering papers at the NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference to address practical solutions to key HD Radio operational issues:

Implications of advanced HD services on station workflow will be the focus of BE Vice President Studio Systems Ray Miklius' presentation during the Multicasting for Radio session on Sunday, April 15th, starting at 10am.

Transmission pre-correction techniques will be discussed by BE Vice President Engineering & Technical Services Richard Hinkle during the RF Implementation for HD Radio session, held Sunday, April 15, at 2pm.

Hinkle also will discuss STL bandwidth and network issues for multicasting on Monday, April 16, starting at 11:30am, during a panel session entitled STL Bandwidth Requirements for Radio.

On Wednesday, April 18, BE Vice President Strategic Marketing Neil Glassman will discuss solutions for optimizing data and audio performance in the multi-platform radio operation as part of the Emerging Broadcast Technologies session, starting at 10am.

These events are part of BE's Fast Track to HD Radio @ NAB 2007, a roadmap to HD Radio demonstrations and presentations intended to help broadcasters get down to the business of HD Radio during NAB week.

Other events included in BE's Fast Track to HD Radio @ NAB 2007 are a BE presentation at the NAB Radio & Audio Stage on multi-platform opportunities, to be held twice during the show, and an engineering seminar on Saturday the 14th in room N-211 from 2 to 4pm.

BE will also demonstrate HD multicasting, Messagecasting and new HD advanced services at its booth N7106.
