As is often the case, the sale of one relatively pricy station can make a slump look like history. But if you take out the sale of KDOC-TV Los Angeles, you'd have to say that a station trading slump was still in progress as March turned into April. Prices were halfway decent, but the traffic at the FCC was light.

TV Deal of the Week
I'm going to Disneyland
That could be a destination for Ellis Communications, at any rate, as they score Indy KDOC-TV which serves Los Angeles from Walt Disney's base in Anaheim. At 149.5M, it single-handedly rejuvenates station trading on the TV side. Golden Broadcasting, which lists Pat Boone among its owners, is the seller.

Radio Deal of the Week
Beasly bets 17M on 720
As in 720 kHz. It'll pay that much to Radio Nevada Corp. to get KDWN-AM, getting a big signal AM to complement its trio of FMs in the market.
