Smulyan to guest on ESPN2's Cold Pizza
Emmis Chairman & CEO Jeff Smulyan is scheduled to be on ESPN2's Cold Pizza this Monday, 11/8, in the 9 a.m. (ET). Jeff will lead off a week-long look at the evolution and influence of sports radio. Emmis created the first all-sports radio station, WFAN-AM NY in 1987.
JRN's Lia to co-host Shania Twain's Greatest Hits premiere show
Jones Radio Networks' Lia will co-host Shania Twain's world premiere album release event this 11/5 along with US99.5 Chicago's Lisa Dent. The 90-minute special will air live via satellite from The Tracking Room in Nashville on stations across the country, including Lia's 175 affiliate stations beginning at 9pm Central.
Throughout the special, Lia and Lisa will give fans a glimpse into the life and career of the multi-platinum superstar, with an exclusive interview. The co-hosts will relay questions to Twain from the audience, as well as from listeners tuning in from around the country. They will also work the celebrity phone, patching through calls and messages from Dolly Parton, Wynonna, Terri Clark, Billy Currington and others. Twain will debut new music from her upcoming Greatest Hits album, including two new tracks, "Don't" and "I Ain't No Quitter."
