The Gap taps Sarah Jessica Parker for holiday effort

This holiday season, Gap introduces a new TV campaign featuring actress Sarah Jessica Parker along with a cast of star-studded actors and musicians. An evolution of Gap's fall "How Do You Wear It?" campaign, the holiday ads evoke the giving spirit of the season by asking customers "How Do You Share It?"

The holiday campaign features three 30-second spots that follow Sarah Jessica Parker celebrating with friends at fabulous holiday parties. Each party is held in a distinctive environment that creates a fresh backdrop for the new styles and gift items in Gap's holiday collection. Parker teams up with Las Vegas heartthrob Josh Duhamel and acclaimed musician Mary J. Blige in the first spot entitled "Warmth." Set to Blige's original remake of the classic hit "Best of My Love," the spot takes place in a cool lounge filled with plush white faux fur sofas. Parker, Duhamel and Blige celebrate and share gifts with friends while dressed in the warm and cozy looks of the season - - a faux fur lined vest, luxurious suede jacket and supersoft velvet blazer.

In the second spot called "Shine," Parker welcomes friends including British actor Will Kemp, singer J.C. Chasez and models Frankie Rayder and Joy Bryant to an elegant penthouse apartment party. Parker lights up the room in a black velvet blazer, silver sequined scarf and satin rhinestone hobo bag. Set to J.C. Chasez's rendition of the original Earth, Wind and Fire song "Shining Star," the spot captures the glitzy and glamorous looks perfect for dressing up this holiday season.

Developed by Gap's creative agency Laird+Partners, the "How Do You Share It?" TV campaign debuts 11/18. The holiday spots will run on all major networks and cable in the US from 11/18-12/22, as well as on networks in Canada and Japan.

As part of Gap's "How Do You Share It?" holiday marketing campaign, Gap is also introducing its Share the Warmth program, an initiative dedicated to giving back to communities by providing warmth for children in need. By purchasing a limited edition Brannan the Bear, GapKids' signature teddy bear, customers can help Gap donate brand new coats to children in need this holiday. Proceeds from sa!es of Brannan the Bear will enable Gap to donate more than 70,000 Warmest jackets to children in need this winter.
