Transactions: 10/4/04-10/8/04

The last full week of the freeze was, in a word, slow. A tiny-market TV and a pair on noncom FMs - - a CP and one on the one-buck donor plan - - weren't enough to even get to the 2M mark.

TV Deal of the Week
Casper the friendly affiliate
The home of ABC in Casper WY, KTWO-TV, is going from Arkansas-based Equity Broadcasting Corporation to Cheryl Kaupp's K-TWO of Wyoming Inc. in a 1.7M deal that includes 500K in straight debt assumption. That'd be enough, even in many non-freeze weeks, to be the TV Transaction of the Week.

Radio Deal of the Week
Austin CP in hand for Hand
Don't expect to earn Radio Transaction of the Week honors with a 50K buy very often. That's what Robert L. Hand Jr. and his Legacy of Austin Broadcasting Foundation is paying for a Dripping Springs TX CP. Seller is the Holy Family Foundation.
